2012 FLORIDA STATEWIDE POW WOW
Presented by the Timucuan Federation
Big How! The Timucuan Federation is proud to host the 2012 Xtreme Indian Statewide Pow-Wow on March 8-11th at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida.
We want to welcome all Native Sons & Daughters, Indian Guides & Princesses, Big Braves, Big Tau’s and Maidens to this statewide camp-out. Nestled beneath the beautiful oaks and pines along the Suwannee River, we will listen to Native American drums & music, play war games, watch exciting demonstrations and build memories together that will last a lifetime. It promises to be an outstanding 4-day event packed with Native American Indian entertainment and good times for the whole family.
The activities planned are too numerous to list here, but one event you won’t want to miss is our Sacred Fire on Friday night. For those that have not attended one prior, the Timucuan Federation will be holding a Sacred Fire to include a Breaking Arrow ceremony. Our council will be dressed in authentic regalia to honor our Native American heritage.
To incentivize everyone to register early, we are offering a $25 per person rate for all our tent campers up through February 7th. If for some reason you can’t register early, the price rises to $30 per person on February 8th, so don’t miss out. As always, if you are an RV camper, there is also an additional $22.50 per day.
In closing, remember that we are blessed with only 18 summers with our children. How many of your summers are gone, how many left…I encourage you to make the decision today to spend quantity and quality time with your kids. See you at the Pow-Wow.
Ya ta hey!
